JD Project
Overview
The JD Project is Sun Summit’s primary exploration focus, located in the Toodoggone mining district of north-central British Columbia — a deposit-rich mineral belt with an exploration and mining history dating back to the 1930s. The project covers approximately 15,000 hectares and is characterized by two distinct mineralization styles: high-grade epithermal gold-silver and porphyry-related copper-gold.
The project is surrounded by active exploration and development projects, including Thesis Gold & Silver’s Lawyers and Ranch projects, TDG Gold Corp’s Baker-Shasta projects, and Amarc Resources’ AuRORA project. The district’s scale and endowment is demonstrated by the past-producing Kemess South open pit mine, which operated from 1998 to 2011 and produced approximately 3.0 million ounces of gold and 750–800 million pounds of copper, (Wikipedia) making it one of BC’s largest gold producers at its peak. Centerra Gold is now advancing the Kemess East and Kemess Underground projects, with a January 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment targeting first production in late 2031 (CG.TO Jan 19, 2026, News).

Geology & Mineralization
The Toodoggone mining district hosts a significant number of shallow, high- and low-sulfidation epithermal-type mineral deposits and occurrences (e.g., JD, Lawyers, Shasta, Baker) as well as porphyry-related mineralization (e.g. Kemess, Brenda, Pine) that may be contemporaneous and potentially cogenetic. These deposits are hosted by a thick (>2 km) succession of well-preserved, Early Jurassic sub-aerial andesitic and dacitic volcanic rocks of the Toodoggone Formation (Hazelton Group).
The JD Project is characterized by both high-grade epithermal gold and silver mineralization, as well as porphyry-related copper and gold mineralization. The epithermal-related systems, locally dispersed over a ~5 km east-west trend, are poorly explored and represent high-grade gold and silver mineralization potential.

Creek to Finn Corridor
The Creek to Finn Corridor is a 4.5-kilometre mineralized trend linking the Creek and Finn Zones, where drilling has returned high-grade gold and silver results. Multiple undrilled geophysical and geochemical anomalies remain open along the corridor, representing additional discovery potential as the JD Project advances toward an inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate.
Creek Zone
The Creek Zone features high-grade, vein-hosted gold and base metal mineralization within broader zones of bulk-tonnage style gold mineralization.

Finn Zone
The Finn Zone is a broad zone of near-surface, epithermal-related gold-silver mineralization located at the eastern extent of the 4.5 km Creek-to-Finn Corridor. Structurally controlled high-grade gold and silver veins and hydrothermal breccias are hosted within a gently north-dipping volcaniclastic unit, with mineralization open along strike and at depth.
2025 Drilling
Four drill holes (950 m) were completed at the Finn Zone in 2025, confirming both near-surface bulk-tonnage potential and high-grade gold-silver mineralization. Notably, 2025 drilling also highlighted a significant and previously underexplored silver component of the Finn Zone epithermal system.

The Finn Zone is a priority target for the 2026 drill program, with significant follow-up drilling planned to evaluate both the lateral and down-dip extents of mineralization.

2026 Exploration Program
Sun Summit’s most aggressive program to date is underway for summer 2026 — a fully funded 10,000-metre drill program designed to maximize ounces ahead of an inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate targeted for Q1 2027.
