Mr. Lock has over 40 years of experience in the operations, feasibility, design engineering and construction of numerous precious and base metals mining projects around the world. In addition to being a director of Sun Summit Minerals, Mr. Lock is currently the Chairman of Castle Peak Mining Ltd. and is CEO and a Director of Scorpio Gold Corporation. During his career he held senior positions with a major international mining consortium and two major engineering companies. In 1985 he founded Proton International Engineering Corp., a Canadian engineering and construction company devoted to the development of small- and medium-sized mining projects. He has also managed and served as a director of several Canadian public and private companies. He was an officer of Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation since early 2006 until it was taken over by Eldorado Gold in 2008.

Mr. Andrew B. Carstensen is a professional geologist who has over 35 years experience in mineral exploration within both major mining and junior exploration sectors.
Mr. Carstensen is currently the VP Exploration at Luminex Resources and Chief Geologist for Lumina Gold Corp. and is technical advisor to a private copper-silver exploration venture in Poland.
Prior to these current positions, Mr. Carstensen has a long history with the founding members of Sun Summit Minerals (formerly San Marco Resources) with senior management roles at Geologix Exploration and Manhattan Minerals. His responsibilities included the oversight of all exploration work with the company’s project portfolio, namely precious-metal and VMS deposits in the Americas; Mexico, Peru and Nevada – as well as generative work to identify and acquire additional assets.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Carstensen held geological positions with Western Gold Exploration, Noranda and Newmont Exploration. His reconnaissance work in designing and implementing exploration programs resulted in numerous prospect acquisitions, some of which were the subject of advanced exploration and discovery.
Mr. Carstensen holds BA and MS degrees in Geology from the University of Montana and is a Certified Professional Geologist with AIPG.

Mr. Prenter is a Partner at Manning Elliott, Accountants & Business Advisors. Mr. Prenter was admitted as a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia in 1996. Mr. Prenter joined NTA, Chartered Accountants in 1992 and was admitted as a Principal in 2007. Mr. Prenter’s practice areas include individual, corporate, estate and trust taxation, succession and tax planning, and general business advisory practices. He has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Ms. Parikh has over 25 years of public company experience in the mining sector including corporate affairs and finance, legal and regulatory administration, and governance. Ms. Parikh is President of the Augusta Group of Companies and Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Solaris Resources Inc. and Augusta Gold Corp. Ms. Parikh was previously President of Titan Mining Corporation. She was also Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Arizona Mining Inc. and Newcastle Gold Ltd., and Vice President, Corporate Secretary Augusta Resource Corporation and Ventana Gold Corp. prior to their acquisition. Ms. Parikh obtained a Certificate in Business from the University of Toronto and a Gemology degree. She holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has worked extensively with boards.

Sun Summit Minerals announces with deep sadness the passing of Mr. R. Stuart “Tookie” Angus, Chairman, Co-Founder, colleague and friend.
Tookie was an independent business advisor to the mining industry. For the past 40 years, he focused on structuring and financing significant international exploration, development and mining ventures. Tookie was formerly Head of the Global Mining Group for Fasken Martineau, and he was Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Endeavour Financial. He was the former Chairman of the Board of BC Sugar Refinery Limited, a Director of First Quantum Minerals until June 2005, a Director of Canico Resources Corporation until its takeover by CVRD in 2005, a Director of Bema Gold until its takeover by Kinross Gold in 2007, a Director of Ventana Gold until its takeover by AUX Canada Acquisition in 2011, a Director of Plutonic Power until its merger with Magma Energy in 2011, and former Chair of Nevsun Resources until its acquisition of Reservoir Minerals in 2017.
Tookie founded Sun Summit Minerals (then known as San Marco Resources) in 2009 with Bob Willis with a focus on early-stage copper and precious metal exploration in Sonora State, Mexico.
We extend our condolences and deepest sympathies to the Angus family and to all those who knew him as a colleague, as a mentor, and as a friend.

Sharyn Alexander joined Sun Summit as Vice President, Technical Services, in 2019 and was appointed President in 2021. She is a qualified geologist with a 20-year background in the mining and metals sector and adds great value to the company with her diversified skillset within the industry. Through her experiences, Ms. Alexander has gained in-depth knowledge of the operational side of junior exploration companies in project management, business development, strategic planning, relationship building, social responsibility, investor relations, and marketing. She has worked with companies such as B2Gold, Barrick (Australia), and SRK Consulting. Ms. Alexander earned her Bachelor of Science in Geology at McMaster University and her Masters of Science in Geology at the University of Toronto. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in GIS from BCIT.

Robert Willis has worked in the mineral resources industry for more then 35 years. He began his career with Rio Algom and Teck where he held engineering and production positions at the Lornex, Afton, and Highmont open-pit copper mines. From there, Mr. Willis founded Pioneer Metals Corp., where he served as President and CEO from 1984 to 1990. Under his leadership, he initiated the acquisition and startup of the Stibnite heap leach gold mine in Idaho, USA, as well as organizing and negotiating the acquisition of the Silbak Premier gold and silver property in the Golden Triangle, northern B.C. The property was subsequently put into production after arranging a joint venture with Westmin Resources.
Mr. Willis went on to co-found Manhattan Minerals Corp., where he acted as President and CEO from 1990 to 1998, and served as Director from 1990 to 2001. Under his direction, the Moris open pit heap leach gold property in Mexico, was acquired, financed, and put into production. Exploration activities were also focused on the Tambo Grande copper/gold VMS deposit in Peru.
In 2001, Mr. Willis founded Geologix Exploration and served as President, Director and Chairman until initiating San Marco Resources with business associate R. Stuart “Tookie” Angus in 2005. Mr. Willis acted as CEO and Director of Sun Summit Minerals and oversaw the transition from exploration in Mexico to Canada in 2019. He now has the role of Senior Advisor with the company.
Mr. Willis graduated in 1973 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.

Ken MacDonald is a registered professional geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mining sector, including work as a consulting exploration geologist, as a senior project manager for a Canadian engineering company, and as a senior permitting official with the Mines Branch of the B.C. government. He is a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Mr. MacDonald has managed and participated in a wide range of exploration projects in varied terrain, principally in Western Canada, with international experience in Mexico and South America. He has been responsible for design and implementation of exploration programs from grass-roots to advanced drill definition. He has also managed mine scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility projects, bulk sample projects, environmental assessments and was responsible for all mine permitting for the Mt. Milligan open pit copper-gold mine.

Christopher Leslie is an economic geologist with experience in project generation, project evaluation and district-scale targeting in porphyry to epithermal environments. He was most recently Vice President Exploration for Tower Resources Ltd., where he assembled and helped advance a portfolio of exploration projects throughout British Columbia. Prior to joining Tower, Mr. Leslie was Senior Project Geologist for Richfield Ventures Corp. where he was an integral member of the discovery team at the Blackwater Gold project where he supervised the exploration and initial resource delineation drill programs that lead to the most recent mineral reserve estimate of 8.2 Moz Au. Prior to Richfield, Mr. Leslie was involved in mineral exploration and government geoscience, working on numerous deposit styles both in grassroots exploration and in production. Mr. Leslie has a Ph.D. in economic geology from CODES, University of Tasmania, an M.Sc. in geological sciences from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in geological sciences from the University of Alberta. Mr. Leslie is a registered Professional Geoscientist with APEGBC.

Jeffrey R. Wilson has over 25 years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining investment industry. Mr. Wilson brings a wealth of contacts throughout the investment community including institutional investors, retail brokers, investment bankers, mining analysts and private investors. During his career, Mr. Wilson has been involved in numerous equity financings, ranging from IPOs to private placements and syndicated brokered financings. He is a former Director of Welcome Opportunities Ltd. which was bought out by Endeavour Mining Capital in 2002, and Aquiline Resources Ltd. which was bought out by Pan American Silver in 2009. In 2005, Mr. Wilson was involved in the formation of Silver Quest Resources Ltd., which was bought out in 2012 by New Gold Inc. Mr. Wilson currently serves as President and CEO of Precipitate Gold Corp. and serves as a Director of several private and publicly listed mineral exploration companies.
