Executive Chairman
Brian Lock brings over 40 years of experience in the mining industry including engineering, construction, and operations in his roles as Chief Electrical Engineer of a German mining company, two Canadian consulting firms, as President and owner of Proton Engineering and Construction, and development of numerous precious and base metal mines in many parts of the world. Brian has also held several positions as a Director, Executive VP, President, and CEO of several public mining companies including Frontier Pacific Mining, Castle Peak Mining and Scorpio Gold Corporation.

Sharyn Alexander, M.Sc.
President
Sharyn Alexander is an accomplished mining professional with a 20-year background in the mining and mineral exploration industry. Her diversified skillset includes in-depth knowledge of the operational side of junior exploration companies, such as business development, strategic planning, corporate finance, social responsibility, corporate governance, investor relations and marketing, and recognizing opportunities for growth to provide value to shareholders. She joined Sun Summit as Vice President, Technical Services, in 2019 and was appointed President in 2021. Additionally, Ms. Alexander is a Director of Crestfield Copper and Rare Earth Ridge Resources. Past experience includes working with companies such as B2Gold, Barrick, and SRK Consulting. Ms. Alexander earned her B.Sc. in Geology at McMaster University and her M.Sc. in Geology at the University of Toronto. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in GIS from BCIT.

Ken MacDonald, P.Geo.
VP Exploration
Ken MacDonald is a registered professional geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mining sector, including work as a consulting exploration geologist, as a senior project manager for a Canadian engineering company, and as a senior permitting official with the Mines Branch of the B.C. government. He is a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Mr. MacDonald has managed and participated in a wide range of exploration projects in varied terrain and has been responsible for design and implementation of exploration programs from grassroots to advanced drill definition. He has also managed mine scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility projects, bulk sample projects, environmental assessments and was responsible for all mine permitting for the Mt. Milligan open pit copper-gold mine.

Waseem Javed, CPA, CA
CFO
Waseem Javed is a Chartered Professional Accountant specializing in assurance and advisory services for both private and publicly listed entities in Canada and the United States. He has transactional expertise in initial public offerings, secondary offerings, corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Javed has over 15 years of accounting, auditing, and tax experience, and currently is partner of Manning Elliott LLP, a large regional accounting firm located in Vancouver, B.C. He graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008, and obtained his CPA, CA designation in 2012 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.

She was the former VP Corporate Secretary for Nevada Copper Corp. and has an extensive securities and corporate paralegal background working with both Canadian and US law firms.
